Concerning Primary and Secondary Liability Insurance (ADAMS Accession No. ML14183B338)
Dear Sir:
In accordance with the Order approving the transfer to Duke Energy Florida, Inc. (DEF) of the 6.52 percent interest held by the eight minority co-owners in the Crystal River Unit 3 License, dated May 29, 2015 (Reference 2), Duke Energy Florida, LLC., formally known as Duke Energy Florida, Inc., is providing the scheduled date for the closing of the direct transfer. The closing is scheduled to occur on Friday, October 30, 2015. This transfer is in accordance with the Settlement, Release and Acquisition Agreement, dated September 26, 2014. All other regulatory required approvals have been obtained.
Additionally, DEF is providing documentary evidence that the insurance required under 10 CFR 140 has been obtained in the amount of 375 Million Dollars. This amount is in excess of the amount approved under the exemption from the requirements of 10 CFR 140 as approved by NRC letter dated April 27, 2015 (Reference 3). This documentation is attached to this letter.
There are no new Regulatory commitments being made in this correspondence.
