II Xcel Energy DEC 1 3 2012 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATTN: Document Control Desk Washington DC 20555-0001 Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Unit 1 Docket 50-282 Renewed License No. DPR-42 L-PI-12-104 10 CFR 50.73 LER 50-282/2012-004-00, Unit 1 Emergency Diesel Generators Declared Inoperable Due To High Ambient Temperatures Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation, doing business as Xcel Energy (hereafter "NSPM"), is canceling LER 50-282/2012-004-00. Subsequent engineering analysis determined that D1 & D2 Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG) would have performed their safety function with outside air temperatures of up to 105 degrees F.
Summary of Commitments This letter contains no new commitments and no revisions to existing commitments.
