Washington, DC 20006 Re: In the Matter of DTE Electric Company (Fermi Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 2) Docket No. 50-341-LR, Notification of Potentially New, Relevant, and Material Information Ms. Collins and Mr. Smith: In conformance with the Commission's policy on notification of all participants of potentially new, relevant, and material information, counsel for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff (Staff) hereby informs the participants that the Staff asked the Commission to authorize the Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation to issue a renewed operating license for Fermi Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 2 (Fermi). The renewed license would authorize Fermi to operate for an additional 20 years beyond the expiration of its current license, i.e. until March 20, 2045. In support of its request, the Staff provided the Commission with the results of its review of the Fermi license renewal application, submitted by DTE, owner and operator of Fermi. This request is now pending before the Commission and can be obtained through the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System via Accession No. ML16333A309.
