Facility: BSEP Unit No. 2 Event Date: 2-6-81 This butterfly valve is the isolation valve located downstream of the torus-to-Reactor Building vacuum breaker and is normally in the closed position. On a i

pressure of 0.t.5 + 0.05 psid, with the torus negative with respect to the Reactor Building, this valve will automatically open 411cwing the vacuum breaker to equalize the torus-to-Reactor Building pressure differential. This valve i

opening when it did was in the conservative direction.

i i

As there is no history of similar events involving these valves, this is considered an isolated event and no further action is required.
