1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS SHINE technical specifications were developed following the format and content guidance of erican National Standards Institute/American Nuclear Society (ANSI/ANS) 15.1-2007, The elopment of Technical Specifications for Research Reactors (ANSI/ANS, 2007), and rporating the applicable guidance of NUREG-1537, Parts 1 and 2 (USNRC, 1996a; USNRC, 6b) and the Interim Staff Guidance Augmenting NUREG-1537, Parts 1 and 2 (USNRC, 2a; USNRC, 2012b). Normal operation of the SHINE facility within the limits of the technical cifications will not result in offsite radiation exposure in excess of 10 CFR Part 20 guidelines.

ervance of these technical specifications limits the likelihood and consequences of functions.
