[External_Sender] Re: SHPO Review: 21-1476/MN - Point Beach Nuclear Plant Relicensing Date: Tuesday, October 05, 2021 11:24:39 AM Hello again Natasha:

Thank you for the response. I was about to send a separate email response regarding the archaeological report. To that end, the WI SHPO concurs with your findings that archaeological or cultural resources were encountered during the recent archaeological background and field investigation. We recognize that that sites 47MN267; 47MN437; 47MN438; 47MN439; 47MN440; 47MN441; 47MN442; 47MN443; 47MN444; 47MN445; 47MN452 and 47MN454 are located within the exterior boundaries of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant. We also concur with your determinations that none of these sites are eligible for, or included on, the National Register of Historic Places NRHP).

The WI SHPO further supports the proposed avoidance measures for sites 47MN442; 47MN452 and 47MN454.

Moreover, the WI SHPO supports the proposed Responsibility stipulations outlined in Section 3, and the Procedure stipulations outlined in Section 4.

The WI SHPO accepts the Archaeological / Cultural Resources and Historic Architectural reports as fulfillment of the section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NRHP) investigatory responsibilities of the lead federal agency. As such, we stand ready to continue further consultations that may require the concurrence of the WI SHPO.

RE: SHPO Review: 21-1476/MN - Point Beach Nuclear Plant Relicensing Thank you very much, Tyler.

Do you know if WI SHPO has any comments for the updated Archaeological, Cultural and Historic Resources Procedures, which now addresses architectural resources?

Kind regards, N.

SHPO Review: 21-1476/MN - Point Beach Nuclear Plant Relicensing Good morning Ms. Snyder, We have completed our review of WHS #21-1476, Point Beach Nuclear Plant Relicensing and concur

with your determination that no properties eligible for, of included on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) were encountered during the recent Historic Architectural survey. It is the opinion of the WI SHPO the proposed relicensing of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant will have no effect on historic resources eligible for, or included on the NRHP.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed with the official comments to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) pertaining to the overall relicensing.

Please use this email as your official SHPO concurrence for the project. If you require a hard copy signed form, please contact me and I will provide you a signed copy as soon as possible.
