r APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT ,

TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. NPF-3 FOR DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION UNIT NO. 1 Enclosed are forty-three (43) copies of the requested changes to the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1 Facility Operating License No. NPF-3, together with the Safety Evaluation and the Significant Hazards Consideration for the requested change.

The proposed changes submitted under cover letter Serial No. 1235 include Sections 6.5.1.3, 6.5.1.6 a-j, 6.5.1.7 a-d, 6.5.3, 6.8.2 and 6.8.3.

A. Time Required to Implement: This change is to be effective upon NRC approval.

B. Reason for Change (Facility Change Request 85-0329):

The proposed changes are to: (1) revise the responsibilities of the Stacion Review Board (SRB), (2) add a section to the Technical Specifications which delineates the requirements for the technical review process, (3) reflect organizational changes already in effect, and (4) to provide consistency to the other sections of the Technical Specifications as a result of changes (1) and (2) above.
