SUBJECT:
RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR LOCAL PUBLIC DOCUMENT ROOM FOR DOCKET 70-3091 This is in response to your October 22, 1996, memorandum requesting our assistance in making documents related to the Hanford Tank Waste Remediation System available to the local public in the Richland, Washington, area.
These documents will be made available to the public through the local public document room (LPDR) already established at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate, Richland, Washington. In addition, we will provide this LPDR with the weekly accession lists generated for docket 70-3091 through the NUDOCS database. Each entry on the accession list will give a microfiche address indicating the location of the document in the NUDOCS microfiche collection at the LPDR.
As soon as publicly ava'ilable documents are processed through the NRC's document control system, they are sent to the LPDR in microfiche form on a weekly basis. Weekly accession lists will generate automatically as these documents are entered into the document control system and will be sent out as received.
The LPDR Program Staff will issue a Federal Register Notice informing the public of the availability of these documents at the Richland Public Library once everything is set-up.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact Sandra Northern, /
