$l NOTE T0: R. E. Cunningham FROM: John G. Davis

SUBJECT:

GENERAL LICENSE STUDY I would like a etailed briefing on the work underway concerning expanding the GL concept--particularly in the area of medical licensing. In this briefing I would like apchedule with milestones and products identified.

During this briefing, please emphasize how the Sandia Study and the GL study interrelate, particularly:

Are both the GL study and Sandia Study, in combination, compatable with decentralization?

If the GL study reduces incoming applications, will the s em being conceptualized under the Sandia Study be effective? s there a breakpoint on the Sandia approach for number of applications where the system would not be ' effective?

I will appreciate the briefing the week of 12/14/81.
