SUMMARY

The Unit began the report period operating at a nominal value of 100% output. On 9/20102 with the Main Unit Condenser parameters degrading due to suspected macro fouling, the Unit began to make incremental load reductions beginning at 0829 hours0.00959 days
0.23 hours
0.00137 weeks
3.154345e-4 months
in order to prevent exceeding Condenser operating limits. With load incrementally reduced approximately 19% throughout the day, the Unit began to reduce output an additional 13% at approximately 2100 hours0.0243 days
0.583 hours
0.00347 weeks
7.9905e-4 months
on 9/20/02 in order to clean the Main Unit Condenser. An output of approximately 68% was achieved at 0018 hours2.083333e-4 days
0.005 hours
2.97619e-5 weeks
6.849e-6 months
on 9/21/02. All four waterboxes of the Main Condenser were required to be cleaned due to the presence of Cooling Tower fill material which had migrated through a damaged basin screen and into the inlet side of the Condenser. While Condenser cleaning continued, the Unit raised output approximately 6% at 1520 hours0.0176 days
0.422 hours
0.00251 weeks
5.7836e-4 months
on 9/24/02 in an effort to reduce Turbine vibrations being experienced at the #3 Turbine Trip/Governor Valve. Upon completion of cleaning all four Condenser waterboxes, the Unit commenced to return to full power at 0539 hours0.00624 days
0.15 hours
8.912037e-4 weeks
2.050895e-4 months
on 9/25/02. A nominal value of 100% output was achieved at 0423 hours0.0049 days
0.118 hours
6.994048e-4 weeks
1.609515e-4 months
on 9/26/02. The Unit continued to operate at a nominal value of 100% output for the remainder of the report period.
