Outage Control Center Nights Thursday, April 08, 2004 NP 10.2.1 04/08 18:05 Wehunt, Carol Assumed Outage Expeditor Position from McCosky, Kim, Outage Expeditor. (Wehunt. Carol
- Outage Expeditor) 04/08 18:09 Received a call from Chuck Ridings for Maintenance Coordinator. Activity ID 0212777C24B1 scheduled to
--- -- -- start at 1700 will be delayed. Manipulator crane needs to be moved.- (Wehunt, Carol - Outage Expeditor) 04108 18:58 1SI-845 welding is complete, NDE is on the way. (Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04108 19:04 Schoon. Duane Assumed Shift Outage Manager Position. (Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04/08 19:05 Late entries from days: K2B IA compressor has a failed solenoid for service water which will need to be repaired. Also, while inspecting B RCP found excessive oil sludge in the piping. Jim McGough -
Engineering, Is the project lead for resolution. SIG nozzle dam lead identified that there was low pressure in the air supply to the panel. He identified that a supply hose was too small and they are changing that out.
(Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04108 19:06 Received call from Dan Laing that Electrical/Maintenance Standdown is finished. (Wehunt. Carol - Outage Expeditor) 04/08 19:57 After review of the schedule, concluded that ISI-878D needs to be finished well before head lift. Our goal for finishing 1SI-878D needs to be by end of days, 4/9. SOM authorized moving 1SI-878D up from the current schedule. We need to do this because 1SI-878D is required during IT-760 when we fill the cavity. Also.
1SI-878D currently has test equipment installed and will not operate correctly when tags for 1SI-845A are removed so there are about 3-4 hours of work to remove test equipment and restore the valve. There are about 8 hours9.259259e-5 days
0.00222 hours
1.322751e-5 weeks
3.044e-6 months
of work remaining on 878D so we decided to move it back to the beginning of days, 4/9.
(Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04108 21:05 CE reports that NDE on ISI-845A Is complete SAT and the package is in the WCC. (Schoon. Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04/09 00:45 Completed 0000 9 April OCC schedule update meeting. Key updates: PZR manway removal is nearly complete, nozzle dam installation brief to occur at 0100, Ops is commencing venting A St accumulator (0048), 1SI-878D is tagged out and to maintenance for MOV testing, manipulator work Is progressing well.
Key coordination issue Is the handoff from nozzle dam completion to Ops. Tom Kendall took action to ensure we had assignments for who will call the OCC when there are 30 minutes before nozzle dam package is complete and when it Is complete. Also, maintenance will be released to detension RV studs.
We also handed out the RP practices brief for the work groups to use at their next briefs. (Schoon, Duane -
Shift Outage Manager) 04/09 01:27 Received notification from Chemistry that Unit 1 RCS Co-58 concentration is less than .05microcuries/cc at
.043 mcuries/cc. (Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04109 03:01 Unit 1 enters Mode 6, refueling shutdown. (Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04109 04:00 Maintenance reports that they are having problems removing the last bolt for the pressurizer manway. They are planning to work through turnover to get it removed. (Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04109 04:34 Commenced Installation of 6B" S/G cold leg nozzle dam. (Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04109 04:48 Maintenance reports that the manipulator gripper is repaired, other critical path work with the manipulator can proceed. (Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04/09 04:52 Received word that one SIG nozzle dam jumper lost forced breathing air. He is OK, pulled jumpers out while determining why air was lost. (Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager) 04/09 04:59 Received report that the SIG jumper is OK and that he believes he pinched his hose. Also noted that air pressure may have been a little low - adjusted up. Work has resumed. (Schoon, Duane - Shift Outage Manager)
