Trojan ISFSI Decommissioning Funding Plan: Review draft EA/FONSI Date: Thursday, May 30, 2019 9:31:00 PM Attachments: Trojan DFP Consultation Letter to State - DRAFT.pdf Trojan Final EA (Pre-Decisional).pdf

Dear Mr. Niles:

I am processing the backlog of decommissioning funding plans (DFPs) and DFP triennial updates for ISFSIs. More specifically, I am processing the DFP triennial update for the Trojan ISFSI that Portland General Electric Company (PGE) on behalf of PGE, the City of Eugene, Oregon, and PacifiCorp submitted in December 2015, for NRC staffs review and approval.

Part of the DFP review process is to document findings regarding environmental impacts of a proposed action; in this case, review and approval of the DFP triennial update for Trojans ISFSI. An environmental assessment (EA) has been prepared with findings. Consultation with agencies and parties regarding the environmental impacts of a proposed action is an important step in the review process. So, I am reaching out to you as part the consultation action. For your consideration, I have attached the draft copies of the transmittal letter and its enclosure. Both attached files contain pre-decisional information and the information is limited to use by the Oregon Department of Energy, Nuclear Safety and Energy Emergency Preparedness Division. This information shall not be disclosed without prior NRC permission.

Please email me to let know if you will have comments and if the comments can be submitted within 30 days or sooner. I will follow up with you, by phone, Monday (June 3rd). I look forward to your reply and I thank you in advance for both your time and kind consideration.

Best wishes.

PL Pamela Longmire, Ph.D.
