SUBJECT:

Interlock Language Retention In Technical Specification Submission Supporting License Amendment Request, PUR-1, Docket 50-182

Dear Ms. Montgomery,

Upon further consideration of the proposed wording of Inhibit vs Interlock indications in the Technical Specifications and the operator console, Purdue is requesting to return to the text as in the license renewal Technical Specifications (ML16267A001). This will maximize operator and regulatory clarity. The complete revision pages are now attached.

I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.

Executed on October 5, 2018.

Sincerely,

/SA/

Clive Townsend PUR-1 Reactor Supervisor School of Nuclear Engineering
