CHANGE IN NRC STAFF PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR UNIVERSITY OFWASHINGTON REACTOR FACILITIES
Dear Dr. Denton :
On October 1, 2006, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff project managementfor your facility will transfer from the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, Division of Policyand Rulemaking, to the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS), Division of Waste Management and Environmental Protection (DWMEP). This change is being made to consolidate the NRC decommissioning activities in one central organization. This change inregulatory oversight will allow licensees to capitalize on NMSS experience and expertise in theevaluation of any future dismantlement, decontamination, and license termination activities.Chad Glenn has been assigned as your Project Manager in NMSS/DWMEP.
