U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 RE: Response to SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION - MODIFIED HANDLING Sir:
On behalf of the University of Washington, I am responding that NRC licensed activities do not permit the possession of large enough quantities of activity and could not result in shipments of large enough activities to require compliance with NRC Order EA-05-007. Therefore, compliance with these requirements is unnecessary in our specific circumstance. If conditions change to require compliance with Order EA-05-007, then NRC will be notified.
