NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-139/2006-201
Dear Dr. Soma:
On July 13, 2006, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted an inspection at your University of Washington Nuclear Reactor facility. The enclosed report documents the inspection results, which were discussed on July 13, 2006, with Jeff Angeley, Associate Construction Manager, University of Washington, Richard Moss, Executive Engineer, representatives of LVI Services, Inc., the decommissioning contractor, and other personnel associated with the decommissioning project.
The inspection examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to safety and compliance with the NRCs rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspector reviewed selected procedures and records, observed activities, and interviewed personnel. Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of significance were identified.
In accordance with Section 2.390 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Public Inspections, Exemptions, Requests for Withholding, a copy of this letter, its enclosure, and your response (if any) will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS).
