The NRC is requesting concurrence to a clarification on the comittment as listed on page 2 of the TMI attachment to the Exelon letter dated February 21, 2007. I concur with the change to this committment as being programtic. It is our intent to inspect any Attachment 1 weld that has not been previously mitigated on a four year interval. The NRC is requesting to clarify that intent.

TMI Pressurizer Butt Weld CommitmentsCraig, As we discussed on the phone, the technical staff requested clarification on the commitment type for the re-examination of unmitigated butt welds, using ultrasonic techniques. Specifically, the question was whether the commitment listed on page 2 of Attachment 4 to your February 21, 2007, letter is one time or programmatic. I am able to add electronic correspondence to ADAMS, so an e-mail response is fine.
