PROCEEDINGS CHAIRMAN SVINICKI: Well good morning. We begin with a brief affirmation session.

Madam Secretary, I believe we have two items for affirmation. Would you please lead the Commission through?

ANNETTE VIETTI-COOK: The first item is on SECY-18-0023 - NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC (Seabrook Station, Unit 1). The Commission is being asked to act on a Memorandum and Order addressing NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLCs appeal of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Boards decision that granted the hearing request of C-10 Research &

Education Foundation, Inc. in the Seabrook license amendment proceeding. NextEra is seeking to revise the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report for Seabrook, Unit 1, to add methods for analyzing seismic Category I structures impacted by alkali-silica reaction.

The Commission has voted to approve a Memorandum and Order affirming the Boards decision.

ANNETTE VIETTI-COOK: The second item is SECY-18-0039 - Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee, LLC, and Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station). The Commission is being asked to act on a Memorandum and Order addressing the request by New England Coalition to hold in abeyance its intervention petition and request for hearing on the license transfer proceeding involving the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station

4 during the pendency of certain proceedings before the Vermont Public Utility Commission related to a settlement agreement.

The Commission has voted to approve a Memorandum and Order that grants the motion and also places in abeyance an intervention petition and hearing request filed by the State of Vermont.
