REQUEST FOR LIST OF PLANNED TOPICAL REPORT SUBMITTALS FOR FY2012, FY2013, AND FY2014
Dear Mr. Marion:
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the topical report (TR) program, we are seeking up-to-date information on future TR submittals for resource planning and budgeting purposes. We request that you provide a list of planned TR submittals to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff for FY2012, FY2013, and FY2014 (if available) with the following information for each planned TR 1:
- if it will apply to operating plants, new reactors, or both,
- the estimated number of licensed facilities planning to use the approved TR,
- any specific dates for operating plant(s) or new reactor type(s) intending to include the safety evaluation in licensing actions once the TR is approved by the staff, and
- if fee exemption requests will be submitted under Section 170.11 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. We request that this information be provided within four weeks from the date of this letter. The NRC staff plans to request similar future updates at an annual interval to assist us in continually 1 Paperwork Reduction Act Statement
This letter contains information collection requirements that are subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.). These information collections were approved by the Office of Management and Budget, approval number 3150-0011.
The burden to the public for these (voluntary/mandatory) information collections is estimated to average 10 hours1.157407e-4 days <br />0.00278 hours <br />1.653439e-5 weeks <br />3.805e-6 months <br /> per response, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the information collection.
