The purpose of this letter is to provide you with notification of an Abnormal Occurrence as required by Technical Spe cification 6.6.B.1.a within 24 hours of the occurrence.

On October 14, 1975 while performing routine quarterly calibra-tion of the high drywell pressure s cram swit ches, two of them were found in the isolated condition.

The system would have performed its function because one isolated switch was contained in each trip channel.                   The other two switches were always operable and their trip points were within limits.                                                                     ,
