Between May 10, 1986 and June 11, 1986, site and regional inspectors conducted

a routine safety inspection of activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-73

at your facility. The attached URC Region I Inspection Report describes the

areas examined. The inspection consisted of selective examinations of

procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and

observations by the inspector. Meetings were held by Mr. C. Cowgill of our

office on May 30, 1986 and June 11, 1986 to summarize the inspection findings

with Mr. S. Levin and other members of your staff.

Based on the results of the inspection, it appears that two of your activities

were not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements, as set forth in

the Notice of Violation, enclosed herewith as Appendix A.
