Specifically, this information provided a description of pipe weld flaws found, analytical evaluation results, and repair actions taken during the Winter 1986 Refueling Outage.
Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2 By submittals dated December 24 and 30, 1986 and January 15 and 19,1987, Commonwealth Edison Company (CECO) provided NRC staff with certain Inservice Inspection Information for Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2.
NRC staff has completed a preliminary review of the information provided and has concluded that restart of Quad Cities Nuclear Powe:r Station, Unit 2 is acceptable. This letter serves to document our verbal authorization, given on January 19, 1987, to commence startup from the Winter 1986 Refueling Outage for Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2.
Specifically, this information provided a description of pipe weld flaws found, analytical evaluation results, and repair actions taken during the Winter 1986 Refueling Outage.
NRC staff has completed a preliminary review of the information provided and has concluded that restart of Quad Cities Nuclear Powe:r Station, Unit 2 is acceptable.
This letter serves to document our verbal authorization, given on January 19, 1987, to commence startup from the Winter 1986 Refueling Outage for Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2.
A final Safety Evaluation will be issued by NRC staff regarding the long term acceptability of your pipe repairs.
