POINT BEACH NUCI' EAR PLANT. UNIT 2 Enclosed is Licensee Event Report 98-001-00 for Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Unit 2. This report is provided in accordance with 10 CFR 50.73(a)(2)(v), "any event or condition that alone could have prevented the fulfillment of the safety function of structures or systems that are needed to       i mitigate the consequences of an accident." This report describes a valve mispositioning event           I which resulted in a steam generator venting steam outside the containment during a plant heatup.
