EXTENSION ON DUE DATE FOR REVISIONS TO 10 CFR PART 34 (WITS 910033)
This is written to request an extension on the due date for the revision of Part 34 from August 25, 1995, until November 22, 1995. As agreed to in our July meeting, this extension will afford the opportunity for the Agreement States to review the final rule package prior to the rule being published in the Federal Reaister. In addition, the extension will allow additional time for RES to analyze data that was provided by the Agreement States regarding the effectiveness of a two-person crew in reducing overexposure and to incorporate comments that were provided by the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards' Working Group that was established to develop licensing and inspection guidance. The attachment establishes the milestones for completing the rule.
