Close Diablo Canyon Plant Close Diablo Canyon Plant. There can be no confidence in nuclear waste disposal. There is no viable alternative to closing the plant. There are large concerns that cannot be mitigated.
Furthermore the security and abi lity of our society to continue functioning is not dependent on nuclear energy. We are perfectly capable of creating energy from renewable and clean sources, namely wind, water, and sun. The only reason we don't get on with it is the influence, power, and wealth of the nuclear and fo ssil fuel interests.
