NEXTERA - SEABROOK [2016-SST-0548]
Staff in the NRC's Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) forwarded me your email toMr. John Lamb dated July 12, 2016, and I am writing to acknowledge its receipt. NRR staffhave entered your email into ADAMS and will become a public record (ML16197A002)shortly. Once public, your incoming email can be located by searching for ML16197A002at the following internet address:  http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
We appreciate your questions. During my initial review, I note that you made reference toNRC Inspection Report 50-443/87-07 dated November 12, 1987. I am working with NRRstaff to determine whether this inspection report is readily available as a public record inADAMS. A review of this document will be necessary to respond to your question(s).
You also made reference to a 2011 email from Mr. R. Conte. I will need a copy ofMr. Conte's email or its ADAMS Accession Number (ML#) to better understand yourquestion and respond. Therefore, I request that you send me a copy of the document or itsML# when you are able.
Once we have the documents discussed above and in your email, NRC Region I staff willcoordinate with NRR staff and we will respond to your questions when we are able andlikely at the same time that we respond to your previous emails (ML16180A212 andML16195A132) to Mr. Mel Gray and Ms. Angela Buford and other emails sent directly tome. In addition to responding to you directly, we plan to file our response to you in ADAMSand make it publically available.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

[External_Sender] Seabrook Hi John, I own you information and so does the NRC. 1)      The NRC response to Nuclear Regulatory Commission Report 50-443/87-07 on November12, 1987 involved the numerous unresolved cracks and leaks, BUT the "as built" failures andconstruction failures and as  "as builder" staff not  trained in ANSI standards required byUE&C-.was scary years ago. The unresolved issues fail to be NRC followed after construction-and the plant passive issues were active, rightly?2)      The five cores from R.
