I am opposed to the extended operation of Diablo Canyon because the risks are too high. The plant is old, Unit 1s reactor pressure vessel is embrittled, and the facility is surrounded by a network of active earthquake faults. I am opposed to the extended operation of Diablo Canyon because the risks are too high. The plant is old, Unit 1s reactor pressure vessel is embrittled, and the facility is surrounded by a network of active earthquake faults. The risk to the surrounding communities in central and southern California is too high and is unacceptable.
