Dear Mr. Tucker:

DP0CONCERNSONMCGUIRETECHNICALSPECIFICATIONS(TACS55435and 55436)
-By letter of June 10, 1986, you responded to plant-specific concerns which had been raised by 'a member of the NRR staff in a differing professional opinion-(DP0) resulting from a review of the mid-January 1983 proof and review copy of the McGuire Technical Specifications (TS). Your re
. concerns have potential impacts on the McGuire TS (ply i.e., stated that question nos.some of these 6s, 7d, 71, 7k, and 7n) and the FSAR (i.e. , question nos. 4a, 4b, and 4c), and that Duke would pursue TS and FSAR revisions following NRC concurrence with your indicated responses.
The NRC staff has reviewed the responses which you indicate may impact the McGuire TS or FSAR. We find the items regarding the TS to be suitable candidates -
for TS amendments. Similarly, the items that you identify as potentially having impact on the FSAR are suitable candidates for FSAR revisions through the annual FSAR updating process.
Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated. Should you have questions, contactmeat(301)492-1442.
