UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION REGION II 245 PEACHTREE CENTER AVENUE NE, SUITE 1200 ATLANTA, GEORGIA 30303-1257 January 26, 2011 Tennessee Valley Authority ATTN: Mr. William Thompson Training Manager Watts Bar Nuclear Plant P. O. Box 2000 Spring City, TN 37381

SUBJECT:

WATTS BAR - NRC GENERIC FUNDAMENTALS EXAMINATION RESULTS

Dear Mr. Thompson:

On December 8, 2010, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) administered the generic fundamentals examination (GFE) of the written operator licensing examination to employees of your facility. Enclosed with this letter are copies of the final answer key, the grading results for your facility, and copies of individual answer sheets for each of your employees. Please forward the results to the individuals along with the copies of their respective answer sheets. A "P" in the RESULTS column indicates that the individual achieved a passing grade of 80 percent or better on the GFE, while an "F" indicates that the individual failed the examination.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter without its enclosures will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of the NRC Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. If you have any questions concerning this examination, please contact me at (404) 997-4550.

Sincerely,

/RA/

Malcolm T. Widmann, Chief Operations Branch Division of Reactor Safety Docket No.: 50-390 License No.: NPF-90
