The proposed LAR requests a deviation from the separation requirements of 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix R, Section III.G.2.d, and requests revision of the associated license condition regarding the approved fire protection program for WBN, Unit 1. The purpose of this e-mail is to provide you with the results of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs acceptance review of this submittal. The acceptance review was performed to determine if there is sufficient technical information in scope and depth to allow the NRC staff to complete its detailed technical review. The acceptance review is also intended to identify whether the application has any readily apparent information insufficiencies in its characterization of the regulatory requirements or the licensing basis of the plant. | |||

Accession No. ML16054A585), the Tennessee Valley Authority submitted a license amendment request (LAR) for Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN), Unit 1. The proposed LAR requests a deviation from the separation requirements of 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix R, Section III.G.2.d, and requests revision of the associated license condition regarding the approved fire protection program for WBN, Unit 1. The purpose of this e-mail is to provide you with the results of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs acceptance review of this submittal. The acceptance review was performed to determine if there is sufficient technical information in scope and depth to allow the NRC staff to complete its detailed technical review. The acceptance review is also intended to identify whether the application has any readily apparent information insufficiencies in its characterization of the regulatory requirements or the licensing basis of the plant.
