The NRC is requesting concurrence to a clarification on the comittment as listed on page 2 of the TMI attachment to the Exelon letter dated February 21, 2007. I concur with the change to this committment as being programtic. It is our intent to inspect any Attachment 1 weld that has not been previously mitigated on a four year interval. The NRC is requesting to clarify that intent.

Craig, As we discussed on the phone, the technical staff requested clarification on the commitment type for the re-examination of unmitigated butt welds, using ultrasonic techniques. Specifically, the question was whether the commitment listed on page 2 of Attachment 4 to your February 21, 2007, letter is one time or programmatic. I am able to add electronic correspondence to ADAMS, so an e-mail response is fine.
