Palo Verde License Renewal September 25, 2010
Dear Sir or Madam,
I attended the NRC Meeting with Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Plant at Saddle Mountain Unified School District on September 22, 2010 in Tonopah, Arizona. I want to thank the NRC as well as Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Plant for having this meeting. Im sorry that such a small number of community members attended this meeting because so many people depend on this plant for help or income.
I want to say that I live near Palo Verde, so close in fact that I can almost throw a rock to their property line. Palo Verde/APS are one of the best neighbors we have in Tonopah. They can usually be counted for community donations, critical information during emergencies and so much more.
I want Palo Verde to be my neighbor for many more years to come so Im asking that the operating license be renewed. As long as Palo Verde is kept up, updated and ran in a safe manner without safety or environmental problems to either the employees that work there or my neighborhood Im all in favor of license renewal.
