This letter is to inform you that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will conduct a Category 3 public meeting on April 29, 2009. The purpose of the meeting is to provide an open public forum to discuss the Agency's annual assessment of safety performance for the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant. The NRC staff will be available to answer questions from the public regarding plant performance, as well as the Agency's oversight of the facility. Florida Power & Light Company is encouraged to attend this meeting. A meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed.
