FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT NOTIFICATION OF UNUSUAL EVENT DUE TO FIRE IN MAIN TRANSFORMER This preliminary notification supplements information in PNO-1-12-008, which documented the declaration of an Unusual Event at the Fitzpatrick plant on November 11, 2012, following a fire in the T1-A main transformer. On-site fire brigade personnel, with assistance from a local fire department, extinguished the transformer fire. Operators declared an Unusual Event (UE) at 5:45 a.m. EST and exited the UE at 8:01 a.m. the same day. The plant includes two main transformers T1-A and T1-B.
