| | On August 9, 2008, the Palisades plant resumed operation after a maintenance outage that was started on August 5, 2008, to replace leaking CRD seals. The reactor was made critical at 6:48 p.m. EDT on August 9, 2008, and the main generator was synchronized to the grid at 4:31 a.m. on August 10, 2008. The licensee replaced five control rod drive seals during the outage. The resident inspectors observed the licensee returning the plant to operation. |
