NRC Written Exam Item Analysis for Exam administered at Waterford 3 on August 26, 2020 On August 26, 2020 the site administered an NRC approved examination to 13 applicants. All applicants took the 75 question RO section. Additionally, eight applicants took the SRO section of the examination.
Independently verified site grading indicates that all 13 applicants passed the written examination.
Two questions on the RO section of the examination were missed by 50% or greater of all applicants. The questions were 40 and 66. Two questions on the SRO section of the examination were missed by 50% or greater of all applicants. The questions were 92 and 97.
A quantitative assessment of these questions was performed and it is the position of Waterford 3 that these questions are technically correct and have only one correct answer.
