Gentlemen:

l i

Reference (4) provided our updated response to NOV 445/8518-V-01 (Item B).  !

Our response stated that full compliance would be achieved with the completion i of CAR-063 scheduled for August 31, 1987 for Unit I and common systems, and i March 31, 1988 for Unit 2 systems. CAR-063 includes other discrepancies (such j as traceability of cable pigtail extensions) in addition to the discrepancy identified in the Notice of Violation (conduit lengths in excess of that allowed by the electrical specification). Correction of all Unit 1 and common l discrepancies identified in CAR-063 has been incorporated into our Post Construction Hardw&ce Validation Program (PCHVP). The PCHVP is scheduled for completion by March 1,1988.

In order to more efficiently utilize the resources available to the project, {

the correction of CAR-063 discrepancies in Unit 2 systems has been rescheduled '

for November 30, 1988.

Accordingly the date of full compliance for 445/8518-V-01 is hereby revised to  !

be March 1, 1988 for Unit I and common systems, and November 30, 1988 for Unit '

2 systems.
