On January 30,.1984, in our report logged TXX-4101, we notified you of a deficiency involving defective piston skirt castings on the Unit 2 diesel i
. generators which we deemed reportable under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
This item was subseq'uently identified in-our report logged TXX-6435, dated May l
13,.1987, 'as an item for which a final report had been issued but the orginal completion date for the implementation of corrective actions was fuel load (based on a previous fuel load date) and the implementation of these actions is'still in progress.
This report is submitted to status the implementation l
of corrective actions.
As indicated in our report logged TXX-4101, the corrective action for this item is'to replace the skirt castings.
This is scheduled to be completed by March 31, 1988.
No further action is required for this item.
Therefore, no additional reports are anticipated.
