Dear Mr. Johnson:
On September 26,-1985, we verbally notified your Mr. I. Barnes of a defi-ciency regarding the use of core boring equipment during the installation of shear lugs. The use of this equipment c'ould result in undocumented damaged reinforcing steel.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable. item under the provision of 10CFR50.55(e). We have submitted interim reports TXX-4603 and TXX-4628, dated October 16, 1985, and November 20, 1985 respectively. This issue is being evaluated under the CPRT Program Plan Item II.e, and is scheduled for resolution by March 21, 1986.
Our evaluation to date has revealed no condition adverse to safety.
We are continuing our evaluation and anticipate completion of our final report by April 11, 1986.
