At 1055 hours (CDT) on 5/22/2012, a throug … At 1055 hours (CDT) on 5/22/2012, a through-wall leak was discovered on the Unit 2 High Pressure Coolant Injection (HPCI) inlet drain pot piping. This is a safety-related, ASME Code Class 2 piping. Dresden Technical Requirements Manual 3.4.a, Condition B requires the leak to be isolated which renders the HPCI system inoperable. The Unit 2 HPCI system was isolated and declared inoperable at 1141 CDT and Technical Specification 3.5.1 condition G was entered.</br>The event is reportable pursuant to 10 CFR 50.72(b)(3)(v)(D), Any event or condition that at the time of discovery could have prevented the fulfillment of the safety function of structures or systems that are needed to mitigate the consequences of an accident.</br>The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector.ensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector. +
