In Reference 1, NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC (NextEra Energy Seabrook) submitted an application for a renewed facility operating license for Seabrook Station Unit 1 in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Parts 50, 51, and 54.

In Reference 2 NextEra Energy Seabrook submitted the annual update for 2017 identifying changes to the current licensing basis (CLB) of the facility that materially affected the content of the LRA.

Based on further review of the identified changes, NextEra Energy Seabrook noted it had incorrectly changed the material for screen wash filter housings from gray cast iron to copper alloy instead of to copper alloy >15% Zn. Provided in Enclosure 1 is the noted clarification to Enclosure 1, Item 1, of SBK-L-17172 (Reference 2) .

The enclosure includes changes to the License Renewal Application (LRA). To facilitate understanding, the changes are explained, and where appropriate, portions of the LRA are repeated with the change highlighted by strikethroughs for deleted text and balded italics for inserted text.

1. Screen Wash Filter Material Change: The Screen Wash filter housing material was changed from gray cast iron to aluminum bronze (copper alloy >15 Zn). As a result of this change, the following change is made to the LRA.
