The changes were approved and became effective on August 3, 2009. Since the entire Plan was reformatted and re-titled, it was issued as Revision 0.

This revision was originally submitted on September 3, 2009 in reference (e); however, that submittal did not reflect the addition on one critical task which was added to the Training and Qualification Chapter of the Plan. Accordingly, the updated plan and the updated 50.54(p)(2) are included.

SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION Based on the overall evaluation of the changes made to the Physical Security Plan for the Maine Yankee Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation, it has been determined that no physical security changes were made, and therefore the changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the Plan. Therefore the changes are being submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50..54(p)(2). Also, as required by 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2), a description of the changes is included as Attachment 1 to this letter.
