Dear Sir or Madam:

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (END) submitted the above referenced letter to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on December 9, 2015. This letter established two commitments related to maintaining Severe Accident Management Guidelines (SAMGs).

The first commitment has been completed. The due date for the second commitment is being extended. END announced the decision on December 8, 2016, to permanently shut down the Palisades Nuclear Plant (PNP) in October 2018. The SAMG project at PNP was discontinued at that time. On September 28,2017, END announced that PNP would continue operation until the spring of 2022. Due to these events, the SAMG project is now approximately one year behind the original schedule. Therefore, it is necessary to extend the commitment due date by one year.

The revised SAMG commitment is listed in Attachment 1.
