November 21, 2012 PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION OF EVENT OR UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE -- PNO-IV-12-007A This preliminary notification constitutes EARLY notice of events of POSSIBLE safety or public interest significance.

SUBJECT:

UPDATE: GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION SECURITY OFFICER LOCKOUT The NRC was notified that, as of 10:35 a.m. (CDT) on November 16, 2012, the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station reached a new collective bargaining agreement with its security officers. Grand Gulf is implementing its reintegration plan to ensure security officers who had been locked out since 12:00 a.m. on October 1, 2012, are ready to resume normal security duties. During the transition, replacement officers consisting of qualified security supervisors from other Entergy sites will continue to perform the duties of the officers affected by the lockout. The NRC has reviewed the sites reintegration plan and NRC Resident Inspectors are on site monitoring the situation.

The information presented herein has been discussed with the licensee and is current as of November 21, 2012, at 12:30 p.m. (CDT). The state of Mississippi has been informed. This preliminary notification is issued for information only.
