Dear Dr. Murley:
In response to IE Bulletin 86-01, Pennsylvania Power & Light Co. has reviewed the design of the RHR systems at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station and has determined that a single failure in the minimum flow logic can not disable RHR pumps in more than one loop of RHR.
Loss of one loop of RHR is bounded by the analyses in Chapter 15 of the FSAR.
This completes PP&L's action ter IE Bulletin 86-01.
