STANDARD REVIEW PLAN FOR THE RECERTIFICATION OF THE GASEOUS DIFFUSION PLANTS

AGENCY: Nuclear Regulatory Commission ACTION: Reopening of comment period.

SUMMARY

On February 19,1999 (64 FR 8412), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)

I published for public comment a draft NUREG-1671 entitled, " Standard Review Plan for the Recertification of the Gaseous Diffusion Plants." The comment period for this proposed NUREG expired on May 20,1999. The United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) has requested an extension of the comment period until November 19,1999. Given that the renewal of the Certificates of Compliance for the gaseous diffusion plants is not scheduled again until December 31,2003, the NRC has decided to teopen the comment period. The comment period now expires on November 19,1999.

DATES: The comment period has been reopened and now expires on November 19,1999.

Comments received after this date will be considered if it is practical to do so, but the Commission is able to ensure consideration only for comments received on or before this date.
