Etamary Progress Report of Second IPE Milestone By Reference 3. Detroit Edison provided its responce to NRC Generic Letter 88-20 (Reference 2). This response was found acceptable by the NRC in Reference 4 In that response Detroit Edison canmitted to provide brief stomary progress reporto on cornpletion of each of three IPE milestcnes. The first progress report was submitted on Janua ry 29. - 1991 (Reference 5). This letter la submitted to provide the stamary report of the second IPE milest one.
The activity required for the recond milestone regarding the modeling of internal floodit.g within the Level 1 PRA has been completed. This activity resulted in the identification of new initiating events and event tree rule modifications to prcduce new core dar' age sequences due to internal flooding as would be expected.
