Renewal of Quality Assurance Program Approval for Radioactive Material Packages Pursuant to 10CFR7 1.101 (f), Detroit Edison is submitting this application for renewal of the Quality Assurance Program Approval for Radioactive Material Packages. Approval Number 0526, Revision Number 5 (Reference 3) was previously issued on November 22, 2004 by the NRC and will expire on November 30, 2009. The previous application dates were December 29, 1999 and October 13, 2004.

Detroit Edison intends to continue to apply its previously approved 10CFR50, Appendix B, Quality Assurance (QA) Program to satisfy the program requirements of 10CFR7 1.101(b). The Fermi 2 QA Program was initially approved in the Fermi 2 Safety Ai eC ADTEEnergyCompany l a

NRC-09-0072 Page 2 Evaluation Report (NUREG-0798, July 1981), and the latest approved revision is documented in Section 17.2 of the Fermi 2 Updated Final Safety Analysis Report.
