Attachment 1 NOC-AE-03001474 Page 1 of3 2002 Annual Personnel Exposure Report (Technical Specification 6.9.1.2.a)

Technical Specification 6.9.1.2.a requires a tabulation on an annual basis of the number of station, utility, and other personnel (including contractors) receiving exposures greater than 100 mrem/yr according to work and job functions. This data is based on self-reading dosimetry results and is presented on page two of this attachment. Specific tasks included in the Special Maintenance work and job function are listed on page three.

Additional Information

1. The South Texas Project includes two 3853 MWt Westinghouse four-loop pressurized water reactors.
2. During 2002, Unit 2 completed its ninth refueling outage, 2RE09. Outage 2RE09 involved refueling and a replacing of all four steam generators.
3. Outage 2RE09 was completed in 65 days with a total dose of 293 rem. The following are baseline activities or activity groupings that contributed more than 1 rem during this outage.

Steam Generator Replacement Activities ( 245 rem)

Refueling Maintenance Activities (14.6 rem)

RP/Decon Support ( 5.1 rem)

Routine Maintenance ( 4.6 rem)

Inspections ( 4.4 rem)

Operations Support ( 3.5 rem)

Valve Maintenance ( 2.5 rem)

Reactor Coolant Pump PMs (2.2 rem)

Temporary Shielding (non-SGR) (1.6 rem)

4. For 2002, four individuals exceeded one rem deep dose equivalent with the highest exposed individual (including contract personnel) receiving 1.199 rem by electronic dosimeter records. The highest exposed station/utility individual received 0.700 rem by electronic dosimeter records.

Attachment 2 NOC-AE-03001474 Page 1 of 1 Primary Coolant Specific Activity Report For Samples Exceeding Technical Specification Limits Technical Specification 6.9.1.2.b requires the results of the specific activity analyses in which the primary coolant exceeded the limits of Technical Specification 3.4.8 to be reported on an annual basis.

Unit 1 and Unit 2 have not exceeded the limits of Technical Specification 3.4.8 for the calendar year of 2002.
