Examination Coverage for Third-Ten Year Inservice Inspection Interval Closeout (TAC No. MD8416)

Dear Sir or Madam:

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) hereby submitted a request for relief from the ASME code in Reference 1 and responded to NRC questions regarding that relief request in Reference 2. Relief Requests for ASME Code Category B-D, Item No. B3.120, Pressurizer Spray & Surge Nozzle Inside Radius Welds PZRN-1 and PZRN-6 were included in that request. As discussed with the NRC Staff and identified in Reference 2, the technology to perform the required examinations has become available, and relief is not appropriate.

Entergy is withdrawing the relief and will perform the examinations required by ASME Section XI.
